GOQii, a Menlo Park, CA- Mumbai, India- and Shenzhen, China-based provider of a virtual fitness coaching platform, raised $13.4m in Series A funding.
The round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Cheetah Mobile, Inc., with participation from Great Wall Club, DSG Consumer Partners, Ilkka Paananen and Pravin Gandhi.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations globally, mainly in China and the US.
Led by Vishal Gondal, Founder and CEO, GOQii combines wearable technology and human experts to provide a fitness coaching platform which aligns data with goals and provides users with support, knowledge and motivation through changes and lifestyle shifts via real life, certified health and fitness professionals.
The program also allows users and their coaches to continually review and align data and logs to keep focused and on track.
