Osaro, a San Francisco, CA-based deep reinforcement learning startup, raised $3.3m in seed funding.
Backers included AME Cloud Ventures, Scott Banister and Peter Thiel.
Led by Derik Pridmore, COO, Dr Itamar Arel, CEO, and Michael Kahane, CTO, Osaro develops automation solutions for computer and robotic systems driven by advanced machine learning software. In particular, the company’s Deep Reinforcement Learning technology, which combines a deep learning perception engine and a reinforcement learning based control engine, can process vast amounts of sensory information and produce complex decisions.
