Shuttl, a Gurgaon, India-based bus aggregator platform, raised $20m in Series A funding.
Backers included Lightspeed India Partners Advisors LLP, Sequoia India and Times Internet Ltd.
Founded in April 2015 by IIT Delhi alumni Amit Singh & IIT Kanpur alum Deepanshu Malviya, Shuttl provides air-conditioned shuttle services to commuters across 50 routes in Delhi NCR. Consumers can use the mobile app to select their origin and destination points and are shown the approaching Shuttls at their point of boarding.
The platform offers about 15,000 rides a day with price points for a ride ranging between Rs20 & Rs.100.
Since its inception, Shuttl has offered more than 8 lakh rides with the app crossing 150,000 downloads on Google Play Store.
