Cloudability, a Portland, Ore.-based cloud cost management provider, acquired DataHero, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of self-service cloud BI.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Following the acquisition, DataHero’s San Francisco location will become Cloudability’s first Bay Area location.
Led by Mat Ellis, CEO, Cloudability allows businesses running on public cloud services, like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to monitor spending, optimize costs and govern cloud deployments. The company is backed by Foundry Group, Techstars, 500 Startups, Trinity Ventures and First Round Capital.
Led by Ed Miller, CEO, DataHero provides a self-service cloud BI platform that allows any user to connect to cloud services and create charts and to uncover insights within data and communicate them with dashboards. It is backed by Foundry Group, as well.
