Horus Technology, a Milan, Italy-based startup that combines robotics, health tech and Augmented Reality to create a medical device for for blind and visually impaired people, raised $900k in funding.

The company intends to use funds for continued R&D activities.
Led by Saverio Murgia and Luca Nardelli, Horus Technology is advancing a wearable personal assistant for the blind and visually impaired to be worn like a headset. From that position, it scans the surroundings, transforming visual information in verbal messages, allowing people to listen to a written text being read aloud, or be notified of the presence of known persons and objects or obstacles.
