Synova Capital, a London, UK-based growth capital investor, closed its third fund at £250m.
Synova Capital Fund III, LP, completed in less than three months, was oversubscribed, receiving support from existing LPs and new investors from Europe, the US and Asia. Investors comprise endowments, fund of funds, family offices, pension funds and insurance companies.
The fund will continue the strategy of its predecessor funds, investing between £10m and £30m in UK companies operating in attractive niches with significant opportunities for earnings growth and value creation.
Led by Philip Shapiro and David Menton, Managing Partners, Synova invests in companies operating in such sectors as Business Services, Financial Services, Consumer Brands, Healthcare & Education and Technology at large.
