Eqis, a San Rafael, CA-based asset management platform (TAMP), received a $15m investment.
The transaction was led by Long Ridge Equity Partners. In conjunction with the investment, Jim Brown and Kevin Bhatt of Long Ridge Equity Partners will join the EQIS Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to invest in people and platform.
Founded in 2007 and led by CEO Scott Winters, Equis is a fee-based asset management platform (TAMP) serving financial advisors by providing investors access investment strategies historically available only to high net worth individuals and institutions. The technology provides access to multiple institutional style money managers via directly owned securities in separately managed accounts, with an account minimum of $25,000. The platform also offers automated administration and portfolio customization tools for financial advisors.
