GenomeNext, LLC, a Columbus, OH-based developer of genomic data management and integrated analysis solutions, raised $1.2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Hydra Capital and private investors.
The company intends to usr the funds to expand its commercial and operational capacity, and continue to develop its genomic analysis platform.
Led by Chris Drescher, Co-founder and President, and James Hirmas, CEO and Co-founder, GenomeNext commercializes a Software as a Service (SaaS) genomic analysis tools and integrated systems for the evaluation of genetic variation and function. The company’s advanced informatics and data management solutions are designed to expedite and enhance genetic analysis workflows addressing a broad range of interconnected markets, including sequencing, genotyping, gene expression, and molecular diagnostics. Customers include genomic research centers, academic institutions, government laboratories, and clinical research organizations, as well as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agrigenomics, and consumer genomics companies.
