Overnight, a Los Angeles, CA-based mobile travel app connecting last-minute travelers with local hosts who have space for same-day stays, closed its $2.5m seed funding round.
The round was led by Accomplice and CrossCut Ventures with participation from strategic investors Paul Bricault (Greycroft/Amplify) and Elliott Bisnow (Summit Action Fund).
The company is using the funds to expand operations.
Co-founded in 2015 by Asher Hunt, Artia Moghbel, and Ethan Kravitz, Overnight is a mobile-first application focused on booking last-minute stays with local hosts. It allows people staying across town, going on a weekend excursion or traveling for business to request a place to stay, get responses from local hosts, and pay securely through the app.
The round also marks the company’s official launch out of beta in Los Angeles, California and subsequent expansion to Austin, Texas.
