Skybox Security Raises $96M Equity Investment

skyboxsecurity_logoSkybox Security, a San Jose, California-based global provider of a security analytics platform, raised a $96m equity investment.

Providence Strategic Growth (PSG), the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity Partners, a global private equity firm with $45 billion in assets under management, made the investment. In conjunction with the deal, Mark Hastings and Thomas Reardon, managing directors with PSG, will join the Skybox board of directors.

Led by Gidi Cohen, founder and CEO, Skybox develops software solutions that extract insight from cybersecurity data to give visibility of an enterprise’s attack surface, the ways in which its IT systems are vulnerable to threats.
The Skybox Security Suite integrates with more than 90 networking and security tools in use by enterprises today and utilizes advanced analytics, such as modelling and simulation, to extract relevant and actionable intelligence from the silos of data created by those tools, giving security teams a comprehensive view of their attack surface and the insight needed to make informed decisions about where to direct security resources.

Customers include Global 2000 companies and government agencies, in more than 50 countries.
