Bustle, a New York, NY-based digital media property targeting millennial women, raised $11.5m in funding.
The round was led by Saban Capital Group with participation form GGV Capital and existing investors Time Warner Investments, General Catalyst Partners, and Social Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Richard Yen, managing director of private equity at Saban Capital, will join Bustle’s board.
The company will use the funds to accelerate its growth and continue to expand its editorial and video departments and continue building its sales and brand offerings.
Led by CEO and Founder Bryan Goldberg, Bustle is a digital media property targeting millennial women spanning breaking news, entertainment, lifestyle, fashion & beauty, relationships, etc. Launched in 2013, the site has a global audience of over 45 million monthly unique visitors. The company recently launched Romper, a destination for and written by millennial parents.
