Clearas Water Recovery, Inc., a Missoula, Mont.-based provider of proprietary and advanced biological wastewater treatment technology, closed $4m in Series B funding.
Backers included existing investors Cowles Companies, Next Frontier Capital and Goodworks Ventures.
The company will use the funds to accelerate growth, hire and retain talent, and continue to optimize its Advanced Biological Nutrient Recovery (ABNR™) platform.
Led by Jordan Lind, CEO, Clearas provides biological-based, water treatment technologies for municipal and industrial point source dischargers. Its ABNR technology is a patented process leverages algae’s biologics in a controlled and continuous flow environment that removes nitrogen, phosphorus and other harmful nutrients found in industrial water discharge and wastewater effluent.
