Hive, a NYC-based provider of a team collaboration platform, raised $1.4m in seed funding.
The round was led by Tribeca Venture Partners with participation from funds and angel investors from Google and Grey Group. In conjunction with the funding, Chip Meakem of Tribeca Venture Partners joined Hive’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to deliver Hive AI v2.
Co-founded John Furneaux (ex-Global Head of Customer Success at huddle.com) and Eric Typaldos (ex-White House and Oracle platform architect), Hive provides a teamwork collaboration platform that puts all the team’s actions, messages and files on one page. The solution allows any team to complete their processes by using machine learning to automatically send out each action that needs to be done, to the right person, which has all the tools to complete the action on their dashboard.
Hive integrates with over 90 SaaS tools like Salesforce and Zendesk and file stores like Box and Google Drive. It is used by over 250 companies to run their teams, from small businesses to Pinterest and Deloitte.
The company graduated in December 2015 from AngelPad.
