M-Files Raises $36M Series B Funding Round

mfiles-logoM-Files Corporation, a Dallas, TX- and Tampere, Finland-based provider of enterprise information management (EIM) solutions, raised $36m round of Series B funding.

The round was led by Partech Ventures, with participation from Finnish Industry Investment and Draper Esprit.

The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate existing sales and marketing activities, strengthen its global partner network, which currently consists of over 450 partners operating in more than 100 countries, as well as expand into new markets in North America, EMEA and APAC.

Led by Jim Geary, executive chairman, M-Files provides an enterprise information management (EIM) solution for managing front office and back office business operations, which ensures compliance with industry regulations and standards. With M-Files, content is not in a specific location, but classified based on its relevance, and managed based on what it is stored. The solution employs search, auto-classification and machine learning technologies that enable businesses to intelligently manage information based on its value, without migration or duplication, and without conflicting with other core business processes and applications. It can also integrate core business systems, including Documentum, OpenText, SharePoint, Box, Salesforce, SAP and others, with documents and other unstructured content.

Customers include companies such as SAS, OMV and NBC Universal.
