Visionary VR, a Los Angeles, CA-based VR story creation software startup, raised $6M in Series A funding.
The round was led by DFJ with participation from The Venture Reality Fund, BDMI, GC VR Gaming Tracker Fund (Greycroft Partners), Vayner/RSE, and End Cue as well as Walter Kortschak, Douglas Purdy, Lee Rierson, Carl Rosendale, Ethan Beard, Jeff Marx, and Anamitra Banerj.
In conjunction with the funding, DFJ partner Bubba Murarka will join Visionary VR’s board of directors.
The company will use the funds to grow the team of VR designers and engineers and develop the commercial version of their VR story creation software.
Visionary VR was co-founded in 2014 by Jonnie Ross, Adam Levin, Cosmo Scharf, Gil Baron and Luke Patterson.
