Chameleon, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a platform for intelligent user onboarding, raised €1.9M in funding.
The round was led by True Ventures with participation from Maiden Lane, Vast VC and angels such as Auren Hoffman (founder of Liveramp) and Sheel Mohnot (Partner at 500 Startups).
The company will use the funds to accelerate development and rollout of the web platform.
Led by Pulkit Agrawal, co-founder and CEO, and Brian Norton, co-founder and CTO, Chameleon enables designers, product managers, marketers, and customer success managers within any organization with a web platform to build, deploy and optimize in-product tours without writing code.
The company’s WYSIWYG editor appears as a sidebar and can be used to build customized tours using a combination of steps that are triggered by user actions (to improve new user activation, feature discovery or deep learning). Over time, the solution will also provide insights on what customers should change in their onboarding to further improve their user conversion rates.
Chameleon, which has been in private beta over the past few months, working with customers such as Urban Airship and BloomReach, moved into open beta last month.
