Rinse Raises $6M in Series A Funding

rinse_logoRinse, a San Francisco, CA-based consumer clothing care service, raised $6m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners with participation from Arena Ventures, CAA Ventures, Accelerator Ventures, Expansion VC, Structure Capital, Otter Rock Capital, and Base Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Alex Gurevich (Partner at Javelin Venture Partners) is joining the Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised $9.5m to date, will use the funds to expand its service offering to new geographies.

Led by Ajay Prakash, co­founder and CEO, and James Joun, co­-founder and COO, Rinse is a consumer clothing care service offering Dry Cleaning, Launder & Press, Wash & Fold, Hang Dry, Repairs, Leather Cleaning, and Clothing Donations via a mobile app (available on iOS or Android ).

The company currently operates in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
