Slack Technologies, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based team communication platform provider, reportedly raised $200m in venture capitalĀ funding.
The round was led by Thrive Capital with participation from GGV Capital, Comcast Ventures, Sherpa Ventures and existing shareholders Accel Partners, Index Ventures, Spark Capital and Social Capital.
The round put the post-money valuation of the company at $3.8 billion.
Led by CEOĀ Stewart Butterfield, SlackĀ is a team communication application providing services such as real-time messaging, archiving, and search. The platformĀ allows teams to organize conversations in open and private channels, to send direct messages to reach a colleague directly, privately and securely, drag, drop, and share files, images, PDFs, documents, and spreadsheets, to connect all the tools to Slack, and to search the entire archive.
