Zedra, a global independent firm specializing in trust, fiduciary, corporate and fund services, acquired Azure Trust Group Limited, a Jersey-based trust, corporate and fund services group.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to strengthen Zedra’s Jersey presence further, adding 22 people and building a presence on the island of more than 120 people, expand its corporate client, employee benefits and fund services offering and provide a platform for future growth. Azure’s office, which delivers corporate, private client, employee solution and fund services to clients around the world, will be rebranded and integrated within Zedra’s teams in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean. Alan Tidy, Azure’s Managing Director, and his executive team will continue to manage the Azure client relationships, and Alan has been appointed as Executive Director of Zedra.
Ashley Cox, Managing Director of Zedra’s Jersey operations, will head the expanded and integrated Jersey team.
Led by Niels Nielsen, Group Chief Executive Officer, Zedra is an independent, global specialist in trust, fiduciary, corporate and fund services. The company, acquired from Barclays in January 2016 by an independent investor group, serves a loyal client base of high-net-worth individuals and their families, international corporations and institutional investors.
It now has more than 300 people serving clients across its core locations: Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Singapore, the UK and Switzerland.
