Ceterus, a Charleston, South Carolina-based provider of bookkeeping services for small business niches, closed a $4.2m Series A funding.
The round was led by TechOperators, the largest venture technology investor in the Southeast, with participation from The IDEA Fund Partners of Raleigh, NC, and Alerion Ventures of Charleston, SC. In conjunction with the funding, Said Mohammadioun, Managing Partner at TechOperators, will be joining the Ceterus board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to build its technology and sales teams.
Founded in 2008 by Levi Morehouse, CEO, Ceterus provides a cloud-based platform and processes that free small business owners from accounting work, enabling them to focus on their businesses. The solution also integrates data from customers’ point of sale, human resources and financial systems to give access to peer benchmarks, non-financial metrics, as well as alerts and notifications.
