CircleCI Raises $18M in Series B Funding

circle-logoCircleCI, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a continuous integration and continuous delivery platform, raised $18m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Scale Venture Partners with participation from existing investors DFJ, Baseline Ventures, and Harrison Metal. In conjunction with the funding, Andy Vitus, Partner at Scale Venture Partners, joined CircleCI’s Board of Directors.

The company, which has raised $28m in total funding, plans to use the funds for product development, expansion of operations as well as scale of sales and infrastructure.

Founded in 2011 and led by Jim Rose, Chief Executive Officer, CircleCI provides developers at technology-driven companies including Facebook, Sony, Kickstarter, and Spotify with a software delivery platform to automate build, test, and deploy processes.
The company currently provides:
– CircleCI Enterprise on-prem deployment, which enables customers to maintain control over access to their source code, test databases, and other resources.
– CircleCI for OS X, which enables mobile app developers to test and deploy iOS apps. After a public beta and limited release, the new hosted OS X testing platform is now available for companies of all sizes and across industries to purchase and use.
