Scoop, a San Francisco, CA-based enterprise carpooling service, raised $5.1m in venture capital funding.
The round was led by Signia Venture Partners with participation from BMW i Ventures, Index Ventures, and Workday Corporate Ventures.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand the service nationwide.
Co-founded by Jonathan Sadow and Robert Sadow, Scoop provides an automated carpooling solution for daily commute. Launched in August 2015 in Pleasanton, CA, and then expanded into the Bay Area, the service allows users to schedule ahead of time, get matched in a carpool based on route, employer, traffic, etc., and take the trip.
Scoop is available on the website and through Android and iOS apps.
