Lucid Sight, Inc., a Los Angeles, CA-based maker of virtual reality games, closed a $3.5m Series A round of venture capital funding.
Backers included Rana Capital Partners and Salem Partners.
The company, which has raised $4 to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate free ad-supported game development across existing VR platforms.
Led by Randy Saaf, CEO and Co-founder, Lucid Sight has released games such as Poly Runner VR (Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive), Gumi No Yume (Samsung Gear VR), and Space Bit Attack (HTC Vive and Oculus Rift). In conjunction with the round close announcement, the company has also launched VR Ad SDK, an advertising platform that allows other VR game developers to monetize their VR games.
Previous investors included Founder and former President of premium mobile ad network AdColony Jonathan Zweig.
