Office Space Activity Tracking Software Robin Raises $7M in Series A Funding

Robin, a Boston, MA-based provider of an enterprise software platform to organize, track, and monitor offices spaces, raised $7m in Series A funding.

The round was led by FirstMark Capital, with participation from existing investors Accomplice, Boldstart Ventures, FundFire, Space Pirates, and Mike Germano. In conjunction with the funding, Amish Jani (partner at FirstMark) is joining Robin’s board of directors.

The company, which had raised $2.9M in seed funding from Accomplice, Deep Fork, Boldstart, Konica Minolta, Autodesk and some angels, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and hire new people.

Led by Sam Dunn, CEO, Robin provides a cloud-based software platform that allows companies to find and book rooms based on the equipment people need, remove no-show meetings automatically, and get reports on how the office is actually being used.
Features include iPad or Android tablets mounted outside conference rooms which tie into existing calendars (Google, Office 365, Exchange), office search tools for finding and booking the right room, utilization reporting tools, Beacons & real time occupancy sensing  technology to broadcast to nearby mobile devices, and automatically check users into meetings as well as integrations with Slack, Aruba Meridian with more to come.
The solution is currently used by companies like Netflix, Casper, Instacart, and Sonos.
