PaGaLGuY, the Mumbai, India-based education network which provides Prepathon, a learning app for competitive exams, raised an undisclosed amount in its pre-series A round.
Blume ventures, an early stage investment firm, provided the financial resources.
The company intends to use the funds to add another 50 courses to its catalog.
Launched in August 2015, Prepathon is an app that allows users to create a virtual classroom for students preparing for competitive exams including MBA, IBPS, JEE, SSC-GCL. It features features ‘Coach’, a proprietary tool that enables student to improve their performance by solving queries, giving motivation and providing interactive learning sessions.
Developed by a tech team led by Sandeep Kalidindi, a Masters Graduate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston (MIT), the app already has 150,000 users and courses in banking, government, management and engineering exams.
PaGaLGuY was founded in 2002 by Allwin Agnel, a MBA Graduate from the Wharton School.
