Zeality, a Pleasanton, Calif.-based ecosystem for content creators and brands to create premium virtual reality (VR) content for end-users, secured a funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included VR-focused venture capital firm Rothenberg Ventures, Paraag Marathe, chief strategy officer and executive vice president of football operations of the San Francisco 49ers, and Jason Khalipa, owner of NC Fit and an eight-time CrossFit Games athlete.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Led by co-founder and CEO Dipak M. Patel, Zeality is a social engagement and delivery platform of premium virtual reality and 360° video content. Content creators, producers and brands use the platform to distribute and manage free or premium exclusive content, increase audience engagement and generate brand activation and awareness.
Zeality is available in both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
