Invesdor, a Helsinki, Finland-based crowdfunding platform, raised €1.2m on its own platform.
A total of 300 investors from 19 different countries backed the company including its largest external shareholder, Nasdaq OMXH-listed Finnish wealth management group Taaleri Oyj.
The capital raised will primarily be used to grow in the UK, Norway and Denmark and expand into new ones.
Started in 2012 and led by CEO Lasse Mäkelä, Invesdor is a fintech company that runs a pan-European equity and debt crowdfunding platform. The service, which is supervised by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (licence number FIVA 39/02.02.00/2014), has so far facilitated the raising of more than €15m in more than 50 crowdfunding campaigns.
