goHenry, a Farnborough, UK-based digital banking solution for kids, raised £3.99m in equity crowdfunding via Crowdcube.
The funds were raised from 2,371 investors sharing 15.98% equity in the business, including over 1,200 existing customers.
The company intends to use the funds to develop the product, continue its growth in the UK and to start overseas expansion in Europe.
Led by Darren Westlake, co-founder and CEO, and Louise Hill, co-founder and COO, goHenry provides a pre-paid debit card and app designed to allow young people to learn good money habits whilst giving parents an easy way to manage pocket money and allowances.
The company’s cards (issued by IDT Financial Services Limited) and apps (available on the Apple App Store and GooglePlay) are already by over 200,000 people with more than 10k joining every month.
