Instabug, an Egyptian startup providing a mobile app bug reporting platform, raised $1.7m in seed funding.
The round was led by Accel Partners with participation from Amr Awadallah, co-founder of Cloudera, and Jim Payne, Founder and CEO of MoPub.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its offerings with a kit supporting mobile apps and grow the team of its office in San Francisco.
Led by Omar Gabr, CEO and co-founder, Instabug provides a platform for mobile developers to communicate with users and collaborate with teams. Regular mobile users or beta testers can submit their feedback or report bugs about any mobile app by shaking their device while teams working on mobile apps can collaborate with each other using a dashboard, where they can assign bugs, comment on them and add tags.
The company was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2016 class.
