Hackajob, a London, UK-based provider of an online recruitment platform, raised £400k in seed funding.
The round was led by Downing Ventures with participation from the London Co-Investment Fund, Potential VC, and business angels.
The company, which has raised £500k in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Co-founded in November 2014 by university friends Mark Chaffey and Razvan Creanga, Hackajob is an online marketplace that leverages algorithms to match technical candidates with direct employers then allowing users to apply by completing job-specific challenges. The process aims to be engaing for users while allowing companies to interact with candidates.
The company participated in the Techstars’ Fall ’15 class. Early users include TransferWise, BBC, Canon Argos, Buusu.
