Tyromotion Receives Equity Investment from SHS

Logo-TyromotionTyromotion GmbH, a Graz, Austria-based manufacturer and distributor of robot-assisted and computer-assisted therapy units for the rehabilitation sector, received an equity investment from one of the funds managed by Tübingen-based SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement mbH.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its presence in Austria.

Led by David Ram, Managing Director, Tyromotion develops and sells integrated solutions for the rehabilitation primarily of stroke patients based on modern robotics and sensor technologies. Smart networking of individual devices allows physicians and therapists to provide their patients wwith intensive treatment.
The company’s portfolio includes a robot-assisted and computer-assisted device for finger and hand therapy (Amadeo), an arm and shoulder rehabilitation device (Diego).
Tyromotion has already delivered a total of over 1,000 devices to about 300 hospitals, rehabilitation centers and therapeutic practices around the world.
