Menlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm Foundation Capital added Melissa Miranda as its newest Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
Miranda brings to Foundation Capital over 10 years experience as a designer, product leader, and entrepreneur. Prior to joining Foundation Capital, she worked briefly at Ideo, then went on found social app Tiny Post, acquired by TripAdvisor in 2013.
At TripAdvisor, Miranda focused on mobile product leadership and design thinking.
She will now be working with General Partner Steve Vassallo on a research project focused on finding unique ways to support design founders and better understand what is critical to their success.
As a part of the firm’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program, which aims to allow entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to advance their ideas in partnership with venture capital partners.
