Early Stage Diagnostic Imaging Company Magnetic Insight Secures $3M

Magnetic Insight, Inc., an Alameda, Calif.-based early stage diagnostic imaging company, secured an oversubscribed seed round of $3M.

The round was led by Sand Hill Angels with participation from other angel investors and funds including the Stanford-StartX Fund.

The company intends to use the funds for global commercialization of the Magnetic Insight Momentum™ Magnetic Particle Imaging System.

Led by Anna Christensen PhD, President and CEO, Magnetic Insight commercializes Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI), a new imaging modality that directly detects magnetic nanoparticle tracers enabling deep tissue imaging of functional events and disease states.
