Thrivist, a Franklin, Tenn., learning and analytics platform for K-12 schools, received a minority investment from Crimson Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. As part of the transaction, Rob Walker, Founder and Managing Partner, Crimson Ventures, will receive a board position with Thrivist.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow operations.
Led by Andrew McGarrity, CEO, Thrivist provides a learning and analytics platform to K-12 schools, enabling them to develop, deliver and manage online learning (or e-learning), and leverage learning analytics to improve student outcomes.
The software, offered via a Software as a Service model, is being used in more than 25 school districts.
