3D Hubs, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based online marketplace for 3D printing services, completed a $7m Series B financing.
The round was led by EQT Ventures, with participation from original investor Balderton Capital, Stichting DOEN, Arthur Kosten of Booking.com, and Marcel Beemsterboer of Vakantieveilingen. In conjunction with the funding, Ted Persson, Design Partner at EQT Ventures, will be joining 3D Hubs’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its professional user base and operations globally.
Co-founded in 2013 by Bram de Zwart, CEO, and Brian Garret, 3D Hubs provides product designers and engineers with an online marketplace for 3D printing services to find the right solutions for prototyping and small production runs.
The network is now available in over 160 countries with 16 Fortune 100 companies using 3D Hubs for solutions across the automotive, aerospace, healthcare industries, etc..
