Baker Raises $1.6M in Seed Funding

bakerBaker, a Denver, CO-­based customer engagement platform for for marijuana dispensaries and edibles brands, raised $1.6m in seed funding.

The round was led by Michael Lazerow with participation from 500 Startups, Base Ventures, XG Ventures, Poseidon Asset Management, Shaun Arora, Managing Director of Make in LA, and other VC funds and angels.

The company intends to use the funds to launch into California, Nevada, Arizona and Massachusetts following initial markets Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Ontario.

Led by Joel Milton, CEO, Baker provides a customer engagement platform for cannabis dispensaries and brands, which leverages a data-­driven approach to turn anonymous visitors into repeat customers via smart products including personalized messaging, loyalty, and online shopping.
Since launching 18 months ago, the software has been adopted by more than 100 dispensaries to connect with their customers across every touchpoint from online ordering to in­store check­ing, promotions and messaging.
