ecobee, a Toronto, Canada-based developer of Wi-Fi thermostat with room sensors, closed a $35m funding round.
Backers included the Amazon Alexa Fund, Thomvest and Relay Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue developing connected home technologies.
Founded in 2007 and led by Stuart Lombard, President and CEO, ecobee provides a Wi-Fi thermostat with room sensors, which is compatible with Amazon Echo through the Alexa Smart Home Skill API and allows homeowners to control room temperature with their voice and delivers savings on heating and cooling bills.
