Tank Utility, a Boston, MA- and Chicago, IL-based company using software and IoT tech to monitor propane tank levels, raised $2.2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Energy Foundry and Blue Fog Capital, with participation from Generac Power Systems, Bolt, and other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth.
Led by Amos Epstein, CEO, Tank Utility provides a smart meter and app for delivered fuels to heat and power rural homes and business. Launched in late 2015, the company’s product has thousands of subscribers across 46 states and Canada.
