GitLab, a San Francisco, CA-based open core collaboration platform for developers, secured $20m in Series B funding.
The round was led by August Capital with participation from Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator.
The company, which brought total funding to date to $25.6m, intends to use the capital to accelerate the development and adoption of its platform and tools.
Founded in 2014 and Sid Sijbrandij, CEO, GitLab provides an open core code collaboration platform that gives a complete workflow to create, review, and deploy code. GitLab includes Git repository management, code review, issue tracking, wikis and GitLab CI, a continuous integration and deployment tool.
GitLab customers include more than 100,000 organizations including NASA, CERN, Alibaba, SpaceX, O’Reilly, IBM and Expedia.
