Luminance, a London, UK-based developer of a machine learning platform to improve the legal due diligence process, raised a funding round.
Invoke Capital made the investment, which reportedly amounted to $3m.
The company will use the funds to continue to develop the platform.
Led by CEO Emily Foges, Luminance leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities developed at the University of Cambridge and anchored in Recursive Bayesian Estimation theory to provide a a document analytics software to handle forensic big data and add value to a legal team, freeing lawyers to focus on what matters.
The company has been collaborating with international law firm Slaughter and May to test and pilot the software for several months.
