SecurityMatters, an Eindhoven, The Netherlands- and Richmond, VA-based provider of advanced cyber security solutions for Industrial Control Systems, raised a funding round of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Emerald Technology Ventures with participation from Robert Bosch Venture Capital, KPN Ventures and Phoenix Contact Innovation Ventures.
The company will use the funds to expand sales & marketing and support teams internationally.
Co-founded by Damiano Bolzoni (CEO), Sandro Etalle (president) and Emmanuele Zambon (CTO), SecurityMatters provides SilentDefense, an automated network and situational awareness platform that enables critical infrastructure organizations worldwide to operate cyber-resilient industrial control systems.
Introduced in 2013, SecurityMatters has expanded SilentDefense’s installations across three continents, covering multiple market verticals including power generation, power transmission & distribution, drinking water, oil & gas, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical and infrastructure.
Following the transaction, Markus Moor Partner at Emerald, and Sandro Etalle joined the supervisory board of SecurityMatters; Etalle assumes the role of chairman of the board.
