Terramera Inc., a Vancouver, Canada-based company with a technology for pest and disease control, raised a venture capital funding round.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the capital to get products to market and increase R&D efforts.
Backers included Ikea GreenTech, an IKEA Group venture capital company, Seed 2 Growth Ventures (S2G), ACA Investments, Bold Capital Partners, Renewal Funds, Maumee Ventures and Export Development Canada (EDC).
Led by Karn Manhas, Founder and President, Dr. Annett Rozek, Chief Scientific Officer, Grant Aldridge, VP Product Marketing and Business Development Terramera is a ag-bio technology company developing sustainable plant based pest and disease control solutions to serve both conventional and organic farmers. Its Inspirium® Technology is said to increase the performance of biological materials, resulting in sustainable products that work better than synthetic conventional chemicals at protecting against pests and disease, promote plant health and increase farm yields.
