eve Sleep, a London, UK-based e-commerce mattress startup, secured $18.3m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Woodford Investment Management with participation from Octopus Ventures, DN Capital, Channel 4, and Paul Pindar, who built Capita into a multi-billion-dollar business. Pindar is also joining the company’s board as Chairman.
The company, which jas raised over $22m in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to increase its marketing efforts and expand its European presence to the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Austria, and Switzerland.
Launched by CEO Jas Bagniewski, Kuba Wieczorek, Felix Lobkowicz and James Fryer in February 2015, eve Sleep offers mattresses, pillows and sheets with a duvet launching in late October.
The company, which is forecasting revenues in excess of $50m for the next financial year, has raised:
– Seed funding – $788k in May 2015- Initial backers DN Capital and FJ Labs were joined by venture capital investor Octopus, which put in $295,000, and by international angel investors.
– Series A: $3.28m in November 2015
– Series B: Closes at $18.3m.
