Francisco Partners Management, L.P., a San Francisco, CA-based technology private equity investment firm, closed a $600m fund targeting smaller technology deals.
Called the Agility Fund, the new vehicle will target sub $50 million investments.
The firm is still investing FP IV, which will continue to focus on middle market technology companies in the U.S., Europe, and Israel targeting transaction values between $50m and $2 billion. FP IV’s portfolio includes Capsilon, Click Software, GoodRx, and the pending acquisition of Dell Software Group.
Launched 15 years ago by Dipanjan “DJ” Deb, co-founder & CEO, Francisco Partners has raised more than $10 billion and invested in 150 plus technology companies. The team also includes Deep Shah and Ezra Perlman (Co-Presidents), David Golob (Chief Investment Officer) and Tom Ludwig (Chief Operating Officer).
