HomeMe Closes $3.2M in Seed Funding

-

homemeHomeMe, a Los Angeles, CA-based mobile app that pre-approves renters for apartments, closed $3.2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from 2M Companies (Family office of Morton H. Meyerson), as well as other technology investors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market expansion and product innovation.

Launched in 2016 by Mark Douglas, President and CEO, and Lindsey Holland, VP of Marketing, HomeMe only shows users – upon download, input of their annual income and social security number for a soft credit check, apartments they are pre-approved to rent. The app, free to download and available on iTunes, gives renters complete control over the process directly from their mobile phones. They no longer have to pay multiple application fees or worry about negatively impacting their credit with several inquires.
