Oblong Industries, a Los Angeles-based visual collaboration solutions provider, raised $65m in funding.
Backers included Greenspring Associates, Industry Ventures, UTIMCO, Morgan Stanley and Foundry Group.
The company, which has raised $65m in total funding, intends to use the funds to accelerate product development, launch and ramp a strategy of expansion into new territories.
Led by John Underkoffler, CEO, Oblong Industries provides develops spatial, immersive, and gesture-enabled technologies for collaborative work. Mezzanine™ is a visual collaboration solution for multi-user, multi-screen, multi-device, multi-location. Current customers include NASA, PwC, and IBM, along with many dozens of others in the Fortune 500 and Forbes Global 2000.
