Uplevel Security, a NYC-based adaptive incident response platform, raised $2.5M in funding.
Backers included First Round Capital, Aspect Ventures, and others.
Co-founded by Roselle Safran, CEO, and Elisabeth (Liz) Maida, Uplevel has developed technology that uses graph intelligence to process each incoming event against a dynamic profile that includes historical attack data, threat intelligence, open source information, and investigation results.
The key capabilities of the platform include:
– Integrated Case and Threat Intelligence Management: Dynamic repository that connects historical and current incidents with internal and external threat intelligence, and enriches and adjusts as new data is added
– Real-Time Action: Automated workflows — from prioritization to investigation to remediation — that can change based on the technical characteristics of the attack and past activities
– Predictive Analytics: Link analysis, graph theory computations, and machine learning algorithms that learn from the dynamic intelligence, human-augmented data and operational actions.
Barely out of stealth mode, the company’s customer base includes a Fortune 500 financial services company.
