Video Tech Startup Vydia Raises Over $1.1M in Seed Funding

-

Vydia, a Holdmel, NJ-based video technology company, completed a $1.15M seed round of funding.

The round was led by Connected VC with participation from Newark Venture Partners, Pasadena Angel Group and other strategic individual investors. As a result of this round, Joe Sparacio, former Financial Executive at IMAX, and Jay Bhatti, Co-Founder of spock.com, will join the board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, grow the team, accelerate product development and stimulate new marketing efforts.

Launched in late 2013 Roy LaManna, CEO, Vydia provides a platform that allows content creators to protect, manage, promote and monetize their videos through a variety of tools.
Currently, the company’s user base is primarily music artists including Jimmy Buffett, Joss Stone, and Def Leppard, but following the close of this round, it is building a new version of the platform that will support a wider array of video content.
