Chicago Ventures, a seed stage venture capital firm that invests in tech-enabled startups, has closed its second fund, at $66m.
Chicago Ventures Fund II will continue the firm’s strategy of leading or participating in the first institutional rounds of capital raised by early-stage companies in Chicago and the central part of the country.
Led by Partners Stuart Larkins and Kevin Willer, Chicago Ventures also provides portfolio companies with operational assistance, strategic introductions to late-stage investors, customers, and talent; and makes investments in follow-on rounds.
To date, the second fund has invested in 27 companies, almost half of them located in Chicago.
The firm has over $100M under management.
