Fleetsmith, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a managment platform for apps, settings, and security preferences across a company’s Mac fleet, raised $3.1m in seed funding.
The round was led by Index Ventures and Harrison Metal with participation from individual investors Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of Dropbox, Kevin Mahaffey, founder and CTO of Lookout, Scott Cannon, co-founder of Mailbox, and Zane Lackey, co-founder and CSO of Signal Sciences.
Led by Zack Blum, co-founder and CEO, Fleetsmith povides a fully-hosted, self-serve SaaS product to manage and proactively secure an entire Mac fleet.
It enables administrators to manage computers through the Fleetsmith web app, while employees see only the Fleetsmith Mac app. All apps, settings, and security preferences are managed over the Internet, and setup takes minutes via G Suite (formerly Google Apps) integration.
The solution is currently in beta.
